I am a blessed man.  I have a lovely wife (Val) of over 2 decades, three crazy but awesome kids (Adam, Jenna and Seth), a wonderful daughter-in-law Karrina (married to Adam) and probably a dog (if my wife eventually wears me down!)

I have travelled an unusual path to be where I am today.  One wouldn’t normally think that your electrical construction training would eventually lead you to be the lead pastor of a thriving urban church, but that is exactly what the Lord saw fit for me.

I sometimes pause in wonderment at how my God weaves things together in my life: I have the amazing opportunity to work with 5 highly motivated, exceptionally skilled and greatly gifted people who help to make up the ministry team at Rock of Ages Church.  Along with this come a host of volunteers whose hearts have been captured by Jesus and are serving to see His kingdom come in the midst of this church home we like to call a “Family”.

I love to explore ideas and the one that is preoccupying my thoughts over the last couple years revolves around a desire to see authentic followers of Jesus serving in such a way that we see authentic expressions of God in our world.  I guess the complexity of all the things that would comprise this expression would be summed up in the phrase “love God and love neighbour”.  Simple, yet profound!
